We are a warm, welcoming foster family in the Victoria area looking for one or two reliable caregivers to become part of our childcare support team. We provide care for one child at a time, generally between infancy and 3 years old. Because we are foster parents, we cannot always predict exactly when a child will join our home or how long they will stay. For this reason, we are looking for caregivers who are comfortable with a **flexible, part-time schedule**. We are typically looking for support Monday to Thursday, with occasional Sunday availability being a bonus. The exact hours will depend on the child's age, daycare availability, our work schedules, and the caregiver's availability. We are happy to work with one great caregiver or two caregivers who can share the schedule, so you do not need to be available for every shift. We are looking for someone who is warm, dependable, patient, and genuinely enjoys caring for babies and young children. Experience with infants and toddlers is especially important to us. We are primarily looking for live-out care, but we may be open to discussing a live-in arrangement with the right person. Because you would be caring for a child in foster care, applicants must be: * Legally able to work in Canada * Willing to complete a criminal record check * Able to provide three references who can speak to their caregiving experience and abilities * Comfortable working collaboratively with our family and maintaining appropriate privacy and confidentiality We understand that flexibility goes both ways.
