As an Airport Security Guard, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and efficient environment for passengers, employees, and airport operations. Whether conducting patrols, monitoring airport property, controlling access points, responding to security concerns, or supporting airside and landside operations, you will be responsible for identifying and addressing potential risks before they escalate. In addition, you may assist with winter operations, including snow removal and site maintenance activities, helping ensure the airport remains safe and operational year-round. Your vigilance, professionalism, adaptability, and quick decision-making will contribute to the smooth and secure operation of the airport at all times.

Responsibilities for Airport Security Guard
- Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to maintain a safe and secure airport environment.
- Monitor airport property, access points and security systems to identify and respond to suspicious activity or potential security risks.
- Control access to secure and restricted areas by verifying identification and authorizations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, emergencies and security concerns.
- Complete accurate and detailed incident reports, daily logs and other required documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with passengers, employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist with emergency response procedures and liaise with airport authorities, emergency services and law enforcement when required.
- Support airport operations during winter conditions by assisting with snow removal and site maintenance activities using provided equipment and PPE.
- Maintain situational awareness at all times to help ensure the safe, secure, and efficient operation of the airport.
Qualifications for Airport Security Guard
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driving abstract
- First Aid Certification - OFA 1 or OFA 2
- Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
- Comfortable using security technology and electronic reporting systems.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.
