Our client team is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive system enhancements, operational efficiency, and software modernization across complex financing, loan management, and underwriting solutions. In this role, you will bridge business and engineering teams by reverse-engineering legacy system functionality, translating business requirements into technical specs (including pricing models), and authoring user stories in ADO.

- Play a lead role in decommissioning legacy infrastructure and shaping next-generation loan pricing engines.
Responsibilities
- Independently analyze and reverse-engineer undocumented current-state legacy functionality to document functional requirements for target platforms.
- Decompose complex system functionality into epics, features, and detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Convert complex business needs into technical specifications for financing pricing models and loan management workflows.
- Support business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT), triage problem tickets and bugs, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and coordinate deployment documentation.
- Partner daily with Product Owners, developers, architects, and testers to ensure solutions meet compliance and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Active Reliability Status or eligible to obtain prior to contract start.
- Proven hands-on BA experience with financial systems, loan management, and underwriting applications.
- Recent years of strong experience crafting detailed, actionable user stories inside Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Proven expertise transitioning legacy software solutions to modern platforms.
- Demonstrated track record applying Agile methodologies across cross-functional product teams.
- Hands-on experience guiding end-users through UAT execution and ticket triage.
- Practical knowledge of Power BI for financial reporting.
- Experience creating visual artifacts and screen mockups using tools like Miro or Mural.
