Adecco is currently hiring a temporary full-time Retail Material Handler Associate to join our client's team in an electrical retail store environment. This position is ideal for individuals with experience in inventory management, shipping and receiving, order fulfillment, material handling, merchandising support, and customer service.
In this role, you will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, organizing inventory, preparing customer orders, stocking products, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the store. You will play an important role in ensuring products are accurately received, stored, and made available to customers while maintaining a safe, organized, and customer-focused retail environment.

Responsibilities:
- Material handling
- Moving spools
- Relocating piping from pallets to standing racks
- Shipping/receiving duties
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Packaging/order picking
- Maintain clean work area
- Answer the phone and customer inquiries
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and arranging for carrier pickup
- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems
- Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or defects
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse experience an asset
- Previous shipping and receiving experience is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
- Excellent communication skills
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
