Service Technician - Millwright

Our client is a premier Canadian distributor of industrial pumps, motors, automatic lubrication systems, and filtration systems, serving industries such as oil & gas, mining, power generation, automotive manufacturing, and forestry products. With a full-service repair shop handling everything from small electric-driven pumps to large diesel-driven trailer-mounted packages, they are known for high-performance equipment built to endure the most demanding conditions.
Responsibilities:
Assist with and perform inspections, maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and installations on pumps, rotating equipment, and other industrial machinery
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical equipment issues and perform effective repairs to restore equipment reliability and performance
Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals
Support the maintenance, repair, and testing of pumps, motors, and other industrial fluid handling equipment
Perform equipment disassembly, reassembly, alignment, and precision measurements to ensure reliable operation and performance
Complete welding, fabrication, and installation work as required to support repair and field service activities
Follow and promote our client's safety policies and procedures while adhering to all applicable safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for completed work

Millwright Journey or Red Seal
At least 5 years of industrial mechanical experience, including at least 1 year working with pumps and motors
Ability to work in an environment where chemicals and solvents are used
Clean driving record and valid driver's licence for operating a company vehicle.
Valid passport for travel to the USA for training
Ownership of hand tools
Committed to safety in the shop and customer sites
Self-motivated and able to work independently, meet deadlines, and progress through daily tasks
Strong English communication skills
Strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to bend, stand, and move for extended periods
Willingness to work overtime when needed for repairs that extend beyond regular business hours
Forklift licence, H2S Alive, and/or first aid certification would be an asset, but not mandatory
What’s Offered:
$43.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
