Sr. Development Analyst
Brampton, ON Canada | Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)
Development Analyst with 5+ years of hands-on development experience to support application development and delivery initiatives. This role focuses on full stack development, Maven-based builds, XML processing, CI/CD, release management, and automation within an Agile delivery environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Assess existing IPT and AMP databases, including data structures, volumes, and dependencies
Work with IT, application support, database, infrastructure, and business teams to define data retention, archive, and purge rules
Design and develop an automated data purge and archive framework for IPT and AMP applications
Ensure archived information is retained and retrievable for business, operational, and audit purposes
Implement logging, monitoring, error handling, reconciliation, and audit controls
Test the solution to ensure data integrity with no impact to active application functionality
Support performance testing and validate expected database performance improvements
Develop deployment, rollback, and operational support procedures
Deploy the solution into production and support post-implementation stabilization
Prepare technical documentation and provide knowledge transfer to the internal support team
Required Qualifications:
Strong SQL and database development experience
5+ years working with large transactional databases
5+ years designing or implementing data archival and purge solutions
5+ years with scripting or application development
5+ years with database performance optimization and production deployment
Ability to independently take a solution through technical assessment, design, development, testing, deployment, and handoff
Nice to Have:
Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle
Experience working with enterprise applications
Experience in high-volume supply chain or transportation environments
