  • Demonstrated expertise in advanced reservoir engineering principles, methodologies, and applications

  • Strong proficiency in production forecasting, performance analysis, and recovery optimization

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, or areas of technical specialization in a fast-paced operating environment

Don’t have all the qualifications listed? That’s ok! Apply anyway. We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide stewardship of subsurface process safety and reservoir management practices

  • Develop, maintain, and apply reservoir simulation models to support operational decision-making, optimization opportunities, and future development planning

  • Prepare, maintain, and steward production forecasts to support business planning and asset management

  • Monitor and interpret reservoir, well, and field performance KPIs to identify optimization opportunities and mitigate performance risks

  • Develop and implement reservoir management strategies to optimize bitumen recovery, steam efficiency, and overall asset value

  • Assess reservoir performance, conformance, and uncertainty to support strategic planning, reserves evaluation, and investment decisions

  • Prepare technical documentation and provide support for regulatory applications, approvals, and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate closely with geology, operations, production engineering, drilling, completions, and facilities teams to influence decisions, drive performance improvements, and deliver business results

  • Provide reservoir engineering leadership, technical guidance, and mentoring to junior engineers and other stakeholders as required

Location and other Key details:

  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 – 6th Ave S.W.
