Job Description Summary

STEMCELL Technologies, Canada’s largest biotech, is growing! We are looking for a Diversity Equity Inclusion & Community Relations Specialist to join our team.

At STEMCELL, supporting our communities and fostering an inclusive workplace go hand-in-hand. In this role, you will bridge community engagement with internal culture by leading our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. In this role, you will bridge community engagement with internal culture by managing global outreach, sponsorships, and employee volunteerism while empowering our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). As a primary storyteller and champion for our core values, you will collaborate cross-functionally to weave equity, sustainability, and belonging into the fabric of everything we do here at STEMCELL.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Employee Resource Group (ERG) program, supporting membership, operations, and growth tracking

  • Oversee global CSR events, review external sponsorship requests, handle logistics, and manage program budgets

  • Drive employee participation through volunteer initiatives and community outreach programs

  • Draft and distribute organization-wide communication related to CSR and DEI and provide updates to steering committee

  • Partner with leadership to embed DEI into policies and processes while tracking, evaluating, and reporting on CSR and DEI performance metrics


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Business, Human Resources, Communications, Journalism, or a related field

  • 2-6 years of experience in community relations, human resources, DEI program management, or corporate communications is considered an asset

  • Passionate about CSR, environmental sustainability, and DEI initiatives

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and experience with content management systems, data visualization for metrics, and project management is preferred

  • Ability to exercise discretion, judgment, and diplomacy while collaborating cross-functionally

The annual salary for this job ranges from:

$83,700.00 - $125,500.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
