We are seeking an Electrical Design Drafter who brings strong drafting expertise, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. In this role, you will support the Electrical Department by producing high-quality design drawings and 3D models for oil and gas facilities projects while working closely with engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do
As an Electrical Drafter, you will support the delivery of accurate, high-quality, and constructible electrical design deliverables. Your role will include:
Electrical Drafting & Design Support
• Prepare high-quality electrical design drawings in a timely and efficient manner
• Develop electrical drafting deliverables including:
o Area Classification Drawings
o Single Line Diagrams
o Motor Control Schematics
o I/O Schematics
o Panel Drawings
o Junction Box Drawings
o Grounding Plans
o General Arrangements (GAs)
o Equipment Layouts
o As-Built Drawings
• Support the development of 3D models for electrical systems, including cable tray routing and associated infrastructure
• Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements and company standards
Coordination & Team Collaboration
• Work closely with electrical engineers, designers, and other engineering disciplines to develop coordinated designs
• Communicate project status, design changes, and technical issues effectively with project teams
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into drafting deliverables
• Support multidisciplinary coordination to ensure successful project execution
Project Execution & Delivery
• Produce electrical design deliverables in accordance with project scope, schedule, and quality requirements
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Support project teams throughout the design lifecycle from concept through construction
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drafting best practices
Construction & Field Support
• Assist with updates and revisions to drawings during construction and commissioning phases
• Support the preparation of as-built documentation
• Respond to drafting-related queries and support engineering teams in resolving design issues
Safety, Quality & Compliance
• Follow established drafting, engineering, and document control procedures
• Ensure compliance with applicable company standards, client requirements, and industry practices
• Maintain drawing quality, consistency, and revision control throughout project execution
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
About You
You are an experienced drafting professional who enjoys producing quality work, collaborating with engineering teams, and contributing to successful project outcomes. You bring:
• Diploma or Certificate in Design and Drafting (required)
• Minimum 5 years of Electrical Design Drafting experience within an EPCM environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within fast-paced project teams
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Technical Foundation
• Strong understanding of electrical drafting and design practices within the oil and gas industry
• Experience preparing electrical design deliverables for industrial facilities projects
• Knowledge of cable tray systems, grounding systems, electrical layouts, and control systems drawings
• Understanding of drafting standards, drawing management, and revision control processes
• EPCM facilities design experience required
Software Proficiency
• Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of Bentley AutoPLANT, AutoCAD Fabrication MEP, and CADWorx
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and multidisciplinary design environments
