Job description

Maintenance Technician ll

Rotating Shift - 2 weeks on each

8am to 4:30pm

12:30pm to 9pm

Pay: $27.00 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical, mechanical, conveyor, and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair conveyor systems, electrical controls, motors, gearboxes, and related components.
  • Complete scheduled maintenance assignments and maintain accurate repair documentation through the CMMS.
  • Install, repair, and assist with the removal of equipment and electrical components.
  • Perform minor welding and fabrication tasks while following all safety procedures.
  • Maintain assigned tools and support spare parts inventory management.
  • Assist with training team members and supporting maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate waste removal services and support facility appearance and upkeep.
  • Perform conference room, classroom, and AV setups as needed.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all safety standards.
  • Maintain regular attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing conveyor systems.
  • Experience with mechanical repairs, including bearings, chains, belts, drives, and gearboxes.
  • Welding and fabrication experience with oxy-acetylene, electrode, and wire-feed welding equipment.
  • Training or equivalent experience in electrical controls and basic AC/DC electricity.

Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Working knowledge of electrical systems from 24VDC to 480V three-phase.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls, conveyor systems, and conveyor control software.
  • Basic PLC and VFD knowledge.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, fire suppression, and conveyor systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and replace AC/DC motors and mechanical drive components.
  • Basic thermal imaging knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to learn robotics, automation equipment, and CMMS software.
  • Knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures, including execution and recordkeeping.

Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Stand, walk, crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work in varying positions for extended periods.
  • Work overtime, non-standard schedules, and on-call assignments as needed.

  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and time management skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and support the development of others.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including spreadsheets, databases, and maintenance systems.

Working Conditions

  • Distribution center environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, heights, humidity, and outdoor conditions.
  • On-call availability and occasional overtime required.

Technicien(ne) en maintenance II

Quart rotatif – 2 semaines sur chaque quart

  • 8 h à 16 h 30
  • 12 h 30 à 21 h

Salaire : 27,00 $/heure

Responsabilités principales

  • Effectuer l’entretien préventif et les réparations des équipements électriques, mécaniques, des convoyeurs et des installations.
  • Diagnostiquer et réparer les systèmes de convoyage, les commandes électriques, les moteurs, les boîtes d’engrenages et les composants connexes.
  • Effectuer les travaux d’entretien planifiés et tenir à jour la documentation des réparations dans le système CMMS.
  • Installer, réparer et aider au retrait d’équipements et de composantes électriques.
  • Effectuer des travaux mineurs de soudage et de fabrication en respectant toutes les procédures de sécurité.
  • Entretenir les outils assignés et participer à la gestion de l’inventaire des pièces de rechange.
  • Participer à la formation des membres de l’équipe et soutenir les opérations de maintenance.
  • Coordonner les services de récupération des déchets et contribuer à l’entretien général des installations.
  • Effectuer au besoin l’installation d’équipements audiovisuels, de salles de conférence et de salles de formation.
  • Respecter les procédures de cadenassage (LOTO) et toutes les normes de sécurité.
  • Maintenir une présence assidue et accomplir toute autre tâche connexe demandée.

Qualifications

  • De 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en maintenance industrielle ou commerciale.
  • Expérience en entretien et réparation de systèmes de convoyage.
  • Expérience en réparation mécanique, notamment des roulements, chaînes, courroies, systèmes d’entraînement et boîtes d’engrenages.
  • Expérience en soudage et fabrication avec équipement oxyacétylénique, à électrode et à fil continu.
  • Formation ou expérience équivalente en commandes électriques et en électricité AC/DC de base.

Formation

  • Diplôme d’études secondaires (DES), GED ou expérience équivalente.

Connaissances techniques et compétences

  • Connaissance pratique des systèmes électriques de 24 VCC à 480 V triphasé.
  • Capacité à diagnostiquer les commandes électriques, les systèmes de convoyage et les logiciels de contrôle des convoyeurs.
  • Connaissance de base des automates programmables (PLC) et des variateurs de fréquence (VFD).
  • Expérience avec les systèmes hydrauliques, pneumatiques, de suppression d’incendie et de convoyage.
  • Capacité à diagnostiquer et remplacer les moteurs AC/DC et les composantes d’entraînement mécanique.
  • Connaissance de base de la thermographie, un atout.
  • Capacité à apprendre les équipements de robotique, d’automatisation et les logiciels CMMS.
  • Connaissance des procédures de cadenassage (LOTO), incluant leur application et la tenue des registres.

Exigences physiques

  • Soulever jusqu’à 50 lb sans assistance.
  • Rester debout, marcher, s’accroupir, ramper, monter des échelles et travailler dans différentes positions pendant de longues périodes.
  • Travailler au besoin selon des horaires non conventionnels, en temps supplémentaire et sur appel.

  • Excellentes aptitudes en dépannage, en organisation et en gestion du temps.
  • Bonnes habiletés de communication verbale et écrite.
  • Capacité à s’adapter aux priorités changeantes et à travailler de façon autonome.
  • Grande attention aux détails et engagement envers la sécurité.
  • Capacité à établir des relations de travail positives et à soutenir le développement des autres.
  • Connaissances informatiques de base, incluant les chiffriers, les bases de données et les systèmes de maintenance.

  • Environnement de centre de distribution comportant une exposition à des températures variables, au bruit, au travail en hauteur, à l’humidité et aux conditions extérieures.
  • Disponibilité pour les gardes sur appel et les heures supplémentaires occasionnelles.
