Assistant Regional Manager

Lactanet is seeking a motivated individual to support regional sales and customer service activities by working closely with the Regional Manager and field team. In this role, you will be actively involved in building strong customer relationships and promoting Lactanet’s services to dairy farmers and industry partners across the territory. Your primary objective will be to actively support sales initiatives, enhance customer engagement and contribute to business development activities. You will ideally be located in the Guelph-Mount Forest-Orangeville area.

Position Overview

• Support the promotion and sales of Lactanet products and services by helping customers understand the value of our services, identifying their needs, and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Provide customer support by responding to inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Assist in building customer relationships by maintaining regular contact with clients, identifying opportunities for growth, and supporting retention strategies.
• Help coordinate and support sales activities, including preparing materials, tracking leads, and following up with customers.
• Collaborate with Dairy Production Technicians (DPTs) and the Regional Manager to ensure consistent service delivery and alignment with customer expectations.
• Represent Lactanet at industry events and meetings to strengthen relationships and promote services.
• Support internal communication and coordination with team members and other departments to improve service delivery and customer experience.
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for process improvements, new services and enhanced customer value.

Working Conditions

You will need to travel throughout the region. The Administrative tasks can be carried out at home.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate education in agriculture or technology field of study
• Experience in Agricultural Sales and understanding of value-based Sales & Service principles
• Thorough understanding of dairy herd management practices (herd management, production and economics)
• Knowledge of the Canadian Dairy Industry
• Background and experience in personal computer software, hardware and/or experience with commercial dairy equipment software is an asset
