Tenant Billing Analyst

About the Opportunity

• Review and audit lease-related charges, including operating costs, property taxes, and percentage-based rent, ensuring calculations align with contractual terms;
• Enter and maintain approved billing and calculation methodologies within the organization’s ERP system;
• Maintain tenant billing information and methodologies to ensure accuracy and completeness;
• Support the annual budgeting process through the preparation, review, and analysis of estimated tenant charges;
• Prepare and issue year-end reconciliation adjustments and invoices;
• Maintain schedules using monthly sales information and prepare applicable billing calculations;
• Partner with Property Management to investigate and resolve tenant inquiries related to billable and recoverable charges;
• Calculate applicable property tax adjustments and prepare related tenant billings;
• Complete ad hoc analysis and support various projects and initiatives as required.

About You

• University degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline;
• 5+ years of experience in recovery accounting, property accounting, or a similar environment;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
• Experience with Yardi or a similar property management/accounting system is an asset;
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply lease terms and contractual requirements.

Salary Range

$64,000 - $88,000/year
