Job description

The Big Picture: Build Your Future with a Company on the Rise

Insight Pest Solutions is one of the fastest growing residential home service companies in Canada, and we’re just getting started. With that growth comes real opportunity for driven, self motivated individuals who want more than just a job.

We’re looking for people ready to grow their careers alongside a company expanding across the country and into new markets.

As a Junior Technician, you’re not just providing a service, you’re building trust. You’re the face of the company in our customers’ homes, delivering expertise, professionalism, and peace of mind. From identifying pest issues to recommending effective solutions, your work ensures homeowners feel confident, comfortable, and cared for.

We’re a company that’s always evolving. Through ongoing research and development, we continue to advance environmentally conscious products, safer methodologies, and smarter service delivery. Our seasonal prevention and home-maintenance programs help protect homes from mosquitoes, ants, wasps, ticks, spiders, and mice, and we’re constantly raising the bar on what great service looks like.

Looking for a job that pays well and keeps you active?

Insight Pest Solutions is hiring Junior Technicians in Surrey, BC. This is a great opportunity to earn solid income, gain hands-on experience, and build a long-term career while working outdoors and helping homeowners solve real problems.

If you enjoy problem-solving, working independently, and staying active throughout the day, this role offers the chance to develop valuable skills in a growing industry.

Position: Junior Technician

Location: Surrey, BC

What You’ll Be Doing

Inspect homes inside and out to identify pests, entry points, and infestations

• Diagnose pest issues and apply effective treatments

• Complete service reports for work performed and products used

• Provide excellent customer service and answer customer questions

• Educate homeowners and recommend solutions to prevent future pest issues

• Build strong relationships with customers while representing Insight professionally

(And don’t worry — no cockroaches, no bed bugs, and no ladder work.)

Why Join Insight Pest Solutions?

Competitive pay

• Benefits: dental, vision, medical, life insurance, etc. (for full time, permanent position)

• Company vehicle + gas card (you roll in style; we cover the fuel)

• Flexible schedule

• Tight routes with short drive times

• Full-time hours with overtime opportunities

• Commission on new business + performance bonuses

• No on-call shifts

• Real growth opportunities — we promote from within

• Supportive, high-energy team culture

• Work outdoors and stay active throughout the day

What We’re Looking For

Self-motivated and able to work independently

• Reliable with strong communication skills

• Someone who takes pride in their work

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build customer relationships

• Quick thinker who enjoys problem-solving

Requirements

Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs of equipment

• Comfortable working in different environments (crawl spaces, damp or dusty spots)

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good people skills

• We will help you obtain a Pesticide Applicator License (we will provide you training material, help you study, and apply for the exam)

• Valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driving record

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle

• Desire to learn, grow, and be part of a solid team

• Interest in pest control or learning a skilled trade

Important: Prior to servicing customers in the field, successful candidates must complete their licensing exam and required training.

Bottom Line: If you want a job where you’re out in the field, part of a strong crew, treated well, and have room to grow, this is it. You’ll stay active, meet great customers, and go home each day knowing you solved real problems.
