Job description

The Role: Senior Project Manager (IT)

Job Location: Edmonton, AB(Remote with 15% travel to Edmonton)

Responsibilities:

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, dashboards, and project closure documentation.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and delivery requirements.
  • Lead complex custom software application development projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
  • Conduct, facilitate, and interpret impact and risk assessments across multiple scenarios.
  • Create, manage, and report on project forecasts, actual budgets, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring effective communication, decision-making, and issue resolution.

Requirements:

  • University graduation in business, management, or a related discipline with at least four years of project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least four years of experience working as a project manager with ADX Studio and CRM Dynamics migrations to Power Apps and Dataverse.
  • At least eight years of experience defining project scope and goals in collaboration with business stakeholders.
  • At least eight years of experience developing comprehensive project deliverables, including charters, business cases, briefing notes, status reports, risk logs, dashboards, and closure documents.
  • At least eight years of experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • At least eight years of experience managing large, complex, custom software application development projects in an environment comparable in size and complexity to the client.
  • At least three years of experience conducting impact and risk assessments, managing project budgets, and leading stakeholder meetings.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Experience working in or for the public sector.
  • Experience managing mandated and legislated projects delivered within short timelines.
  • Experience with public-sector governance, reporting, compliance, and decision-making processes.
