A leading North American energy infrastructure organization is seeking a Junior Contracts Analyst to join its Corporate Services Contracts team. The team is responsible for managing indirect procurement spend, with a particular focus on Information Services (IS), including software applications, technology consulting services, hardware, telmunications, network infrastructure, and related technology solutions.
Your new role
As a Junior Contracts Analyst, you will support strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract management activities across Information Services spend categories. Acting as a procurement specialist within assigned technology portfolios, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies, manage demand planning activities, execute RFx processes, negotiate contracts, and oversee supplier performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting category management and strategic sourcing initiatives for software, hardware, telmunications, and professional services.
- Partnering with business stakeholders to understand technology requirements and develop procurement plans.
- Coordinating and supporting RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes from development through contract award.
- Managing supplier relationships, contract performance, and ongoing vendorpliance.
- Conducting market research and procurement analysis to support sourcing decisions and rmendations.
- Building strong relationships across business units and providing guidance on procurement best practices.
What you'll need to succeed
- A university degree in Business, Supply Chain Management,merce, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, contract management, or supply chain management.
- Experience supporting technology procurement, including software, hardware, telmunications, or professional services.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting RFx processes and supplier negotiations.
- Excellentmunication and organizational skills with the ability to work across multiple business functions.
- Experience using SAP, SAP Ariba, Power BI, or similar procurement and analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of software licensing, IT vendor management, and professional services contracting.
- Strong negotiation, contract analysis, and supplier performance management capabilities.
- The ability to quickly understand technical products, services, andmercial arrangements.
