A career as an SME Account Manager within the Commercial Banking & Private Banking 1859 team means serving as a trusted advisor to small and medium-sized businesses as well as agricultural producers in your market. Surrounded by a network of experts, you will support your clients in their growth, succession, investment, and financing projects by delivering solutions tailored to their unique business realities.

Your Job :

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial and agricultural businesses.
• Achieve business development objectives by proposing solutions tailored to your clients' financial, operational, and strategic needs.
• Support entrepreneurs and agricultural producers in their growth, acquisition, investment, succession, and business transfer projects.
• Identify referral opportunities and foster cross-functional collaboration across the Bank.
• Conduct financial analyses and structure financing solutions adapted to the realities of various industries, including agriculture.
• Negotiate financing terms and conditions while ensuring portfolio quality and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with service standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
• Identify business opportunities within your market for the full range of the Bank's products and services.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of the regional agricultural ecosystem and the unique challenges faced by agricultural producers and agri-food businesses.
• Actively participate in visibility initiatives, networking activities, and regional business and agricultural events.
• Identify and manage risks inherent to the sectors you serve.

Your Team:

Within the Commercial Banking & Private Banking 1859 sector, you will be part of a team of professionals serving a diverse client base that includes commercial businesses, agricultural producers, and agri-food companies. You will collaborate with a broad network of experts in financing, agriculture, wealth management, and specialized services to deliver a distinctive advisory experience for your clients.

Reporting to the Regional Vice-President, this position is based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Our learning-by-doing training programs will enable you to develop strong expertise in both commercial banking and the agricultural sector, a key economic driver in the region. You will benefit from access to experienced colleagues and specialists who will support your ongoing professional development and career growth.

Prerequisites :

• Experience in business development with commercial clients; experience in or an interest in the agricultural sector is considered a significant asset.
• Strong understanding of the financial, operational, and economic challenges facing SMEs and agricultural businesses.
• Established network within the local business community; relationships within the agricultural or agri-food ecosystem would be considered an advantage.
