Our Purpose
At Spark, we're on a mission to make a difference in the way community healthcare is done. As a leading healthcare organization, we are dedicated to supporting our clients with the autonomy to steer their healthcare journey and equipping them with the necessary resources to take control of their health.

Spark is an innovative, award-winning, inclusive and equity focused organization that matches diverse clients to the best one to one care in the community. If you have a passion for helping people and wish to collaborate with a group of like-minded individuals who are committed, hardworking and dedicated, we invite you to become part of our network of healthcare providers!

Caregiver/Community Support Worker

Our clients are remarkable individuals seeking support in Kingston and the surrounding areas. They may be navigating the impacts of a motor vehicle accident, complex medical diagnosis, mental health challenges, disability, or other circumstances that affect their day-to-day independence and participation in the community.
As a Caregiver/Community Support Worker, you will provide individualized, one-to-one support based on each client's unique needs, goals, interests, and abilities. Support may include:

  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and other day-to-day care needs.
  • Supporting client safety, independence, and participation at home and in the community.
  • Engaging clients in meaningful activities, hobbies, appointments, outings, and community-based experiences.
  • Providing organization, meal preparation, transportation, emotional support, light housekeeping, and assistance with other daily tasks.
  • Encouraging personal development, confidence, independence, and overall wellbeing based on the client's individual goals.

Every client and position is unique. Some clients may require primarily in-home or personal care support, while others may benefit from assistance accessing their community, building routines, developing independence, or participating in activities that are important to them.
You would be a great fit with Spark if you are compassionate, reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently. Most importantly, we are looking for people who genuinely care about the wellbeing of the individuals they support and are committed to providing respectful, person-centred care.
