About This Opportunity:

As Admissions Specialist, you will process and review CPA Ontario's most complex international admissions applications, assessing eligibility with the accuracy, confidentiality and discretion those files demand. You are the primary escalation point for appeals, you build the admissions cases that go to the Admission and Registration Committee, and you monitor and report on the service standards set by the provincial government. Working out of the Registrar's Office, you will also act as the subject matter expert for Salesforce testing on the admissions process and support the Registrar on regulatory changes, legal matters and stakeholder webinars. This is an opportunity for someone who wants their judgement to carry weight, in a role where a single decision can determine whether a qualified professional joins the profession in Ontario.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Process and review complex international admissions applications, eligibility requirements and related matters, applying a high degree of accuracy, confidentiality and discretion.
• Act as the primary escalation point for appeals, build admissions cases for the Admission and Registration Committee, and monitor and report on the service level standards set by the provincial government.
• Support the ongoing work of the Admissions team, which ranges from assisting the Registrar with legal matters, to reviewing and drafting changes to admissions regulations presented to the executive team, to delivering webinars for external stakeholders.
• Perform Salesforce testing for the admissions process, completing test cases and signing off on the functionality of upgrades and changes.

To Be Successful You Need:

• A minimum of two to three years of related professional work experience, preferably within a professional, academic, membership or regulatory body.
• Post-secondary education is preferred.
• Experience assessing applications, credentials or submissions against defined eligibility criteria, with the accuracy and discretion required to handle confidential files.
• Sound judgement and analytical skill, with the ability to build a clear and defensible case for a decision-making body and to work within defined service standards and reporting requirements.
• Experience with Salesforce or a comparable case management system, including participation in user acceptance testing, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders, applicants, members and the public on sensitive matters.

Salary Range

• The starting annual salary range for this position is between $66,300 - $82,900 per annum, based on your qualifications, experience, and internal parity. Exceptions may be considered with further review.
