Platform Support Engineer

Salary: $70,000 - 75,600 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for a software developer with 5–6 years of experience, ideally in fullstack development.
• We need hands-on experience with React and Next.js, plus Node.js.
• Experience with C# .NET is a strong advantage, especially in a microservices or API environment.
• We value strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to resolve unfamiliar production issues under pressure.
• A solid understanding of microservice architecture, including service boundaries, inter-service communication, and operational tradeoffs, is important.
• We expect experience interpreting application logs, error traces, and system metrics to identify root cause.
• A strong grasp of the full software delivery lifecycle, from development through deployment and production support, is required.
• We are looking for a clear communicator who can work closely with engineering, QA, and stakeholders.
• PR or Canadian citizenship is required.

Responsibilities:

• We design, build, and maintain features across the frontend and backend, using React, Next.js, Node.js, and C# .NET where applicable.
• We develop and consume services within a microservice architecture, working across APIs and shared platform components.
• We write clean, tested, well-documented code and take part in code reviews with the engineering team.
• We collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps to estimate, plan, and deliver features from design through production release.
• We contribute to technical design decisions involving service boundaries, data flow, and integration patterns.
• We act as the senior escalation point for production incidents that Level 1 and 2 support cannot resolve.
• We investigate logs, service metrics, and infrastructure signals to diagnose issues across the frontend, backend, and microservices.
• We own incident resolution end to end, including triage, repair or coordination of repairs, production verification, and root cause documentation.
• We identify recurring issues and convert them into permanent fixes, improved monitoring, or engineering backlog items.
• We participate in an on-call or escalation rotation for production support as needed.
