Adecco is currently hiring Logistics Coordinator for a full-time opportunity in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in transportation, dispatching, logistics coordination, supply chain operations, freight management, carrier relations, and customer service.
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating transportation activities, managing carrier relationships, supporting shipping operations, and ensuring materials are moved efficiently and cost-effectively.

- Shift: Monday to Friday | 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities:
Transportation & Dispatch
- Coordinate and dispatch dump trailers and scows to support operational requirements.
- Assist with transportation planning, carrier selection, and shipping procedures.
- Support rate negotiations and transportation service agreements.
- Monitor carrier performance and transportation costs.
Logistics & Carrier Management
- Work with transportation providers, customers, and internal teams to support logistics operations.
- Analyze transportation data, rate proposals, and market conditions.
- Resolve transportation, shipping, and carrier-related issues.
- Support freight claims, documentation, and carrier communication.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Investigate payment discrepancies and transportation-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logistics records and confidential transportation information.
- Support shipping locations, sales teams, and customers with logistics-related requests.
- Assist with process improvements and other logistics initiatives as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, shipping, or supply chain operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
- Experience with database management and reporting.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
