For accommodation needs, please contact at any stage of the hiring process.Visit our Careers at CLBC page to learn more about working at CLBC, what we offer, and tips for the interview process.About the Role:Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications, this role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of strategic internal communications that support employees, leaders, and corporate initiatives across the organization. The role ensures clear, consistent messaging aligned with corporate communications standards, while enhancing employee engagement and strengthening internal information flow.Key responsibilities:Leads the development and execution of internal communications strategies and plans aligned with organizational priorities and corporate initiatives or projects, supporting overall work coming out of key senior management committees.Develops clear, concise, and engaging communications materials, including announcements, staff messages, briefing notes, FAQs, and intranet content.Provides strategic direction on the timing, sequencing, and delivery of internal communications to maximize clarity and impact.Provides strategic advice and direct communications support to senior leadership, executives, risk manager, and People Services on complex, sensitive, and confidential matters.Working with the Manager, Corporate Communications to develop communications related to employee and labour relations issues, including restructuring, organizational changes, and bargaining-related communications.Advises leaders on appropriate messaging, tone, timing, and communication channels for sensitive or high-impact issues.Establishes and maintains internal communications standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization in service of individuals and families.Reviews and edits internal communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, tone, and alignment with corporate communications policies and organizational priorities.Provides guidance and advice to leaders and teams on communications protocols, approval processes, and best practices.Partners with the change management team and project leads to develop and implement communications strategies for organizational change and transformation initiatives.Collaborates with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to translate complex information into clear, accessible messaging for employees.Develops communications plans and materials to support corporate projects, initiatives, and employee-focused programs.Provides day-to-day internal communications support, including drafting and editing content for internal audiences and the intranet (MyCLBC).Collaborates with Communications team members, including the Internal Communications Specialist, to support delivery of communications and content development.Provides informal mentorship, guidance, and knowledge sharing to strengthen internal communications capability within the team.What you will bring:Diploma or bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.Minimum of 5 years' experience direct experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or a related communications role, preferably in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.Direct experience developing and implementing internal communications strategies, plans, and materials to support organizational initiatives and change.Direct experience advising leaders on communications approaches, including messaging, timing, and delivery for complex or sensitive issues.Professional designation in Communications (e.g. IABC, CPRS, or related) is an asset.Experience in a public sector organization is an asset.Training or experience in change management is an asset.We are also looking for someone with:Knowledge of internal communications principles, strategies, and best practices, including audience-focused messaging and channel selection.Knowledge of organizational communications planning, including development of communications strategies and plans to support initiatives and change.Identify opportunities where internal communications can support organizational priorities, determine next steps, and then bring internal partners to the table to support the work.Proven ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with people at every level of the organization.Excellent communication and relationship building skills, both verbally and in writing.Strong organizational skills and the ability to
