Job description

Who we are Since 2013, Digital Moment has led digital education for Canadian youth, expanding the reach and impact of our foundational programs each year.

But we don’t stop there—we innovate to equip youth with the skills to harness emerging technologies and tackle pressing societal challenges.

We are shaping AI-fluent leaders for a future-ready Canada with our innovative programs and initiatives.

We are driven by innovation, inclusion, and impact, empowering the next generation to shape technology for good.

Working with us means making a difference every day by equipping youth with essential digital skills to navigate a technology-driven world.

We are a fully-remote, small and mighty, team that embraces innovation, challenges the status quo and experiments with new ideas to drive meaningful change.

We’ve built a culture that is positive, collaborative and focused on the purpose we want to create.

We’re currently looking for Digital Literacy Educators to join our team.

Here’s an Overview of the Position Digital Moment is seeking experienced educators, facilitators, and relationship-builders to support the growth and adoption of AI literacy initiatives across Canada.

As part of a national cohort, each Digital Literacy Educator will lead a region and will drive engagement within specific territories. This role focuses on educator professional development, stakeholder outreach, regional relationship-building, and practical knowledge mobilization.

Working directly with educators, school boards, ministries of education, educational associations, and local partners, you will build awareness, pitch Digital Moment’s AI Literacy Framework, deliver high-impact professional learning, and move aligned opportunities from conversation into action.

While you will need a strong understanding of Digital Moment’s AI Literacy Framework (training we, and our international partner, will provide) to present and contextualize it for key stakeholders, your primary day-to-day focus will be driving regional outreach, facilitating workshops, building local educator networks, and supporting practical implementation in K-12 (elementary school) contexts.

Key Responsibilities Regional Outreach & Partnership Mobilization Develop and maintain relationships with educators, school leaders, school boards, ministries, educational associations, and other key stakeholders across your region.

Initiate outreach meetings to understand emerging needs, regional priorities, and local challenges, serving as a trusted ambassador for Digital Moment’s AI literacy initiatives.

Pitch Digital Moment’s AI Literacy Framework and educational programs to system leaders, demonstrating how AI literacy can be ethically integrated into teaching, leadership, and policy.

Identify and cultivate local champions, collaborators, and partnership opportunities to extend reach across the regional education ecosystem.

Help move aligned opportunities into active projects through clear next steps, shared workplans, and formal partnership structures.

Identify existing regional resources and initiatives that can be leveraged or supported rather than duplicated.

Educator Professional Development & Community Building Deliver engaging, practical workshops, webinars, and learning sessions (both virtual and in-person) that help educators apply AI literacy concepts in classroom contexts.

Adapt professional learning content for diverse audiences, including classroom teachers, school administrators, and system-level decision-makers.

Build and nurture regional educator networks to foster peer learning, shared practice, ongoing feedback, and sustained engagement post-training.

Develop follow-up pathways (check-ins, resource sharing, community conversations) that help educators progress from initial awareness to applied classroom practice.

Thought Leadership & Sector Representation Represent Digital Moment at regional conferences, webinars, consultations, and sector conversations related to AI literacy and digital education.

Promote Digital Moment’s initiatives as a connected body of work, illustrating how our framework, training, resources, and outreach reinforce one another.

Contribute informed perspectives on emerging AI and education trends, helping position Digital Moment as a practical, ethical, and educator-informed voice.

Help identify opportunities to strengthen Digital Moment’s visibility, credibility, and reach within your regional education ecosystem.

Monitoring, Tracking & Field Feedback Maintain practical systems for documenting outreach, relationship pipelines, training delivery, and follow-up actions.

Gather ground-level feedback from training participants, administrators, and regional partners to share actionable insights with our internal product and framework teams.

Track indicators of reach, engagement, learning needs, and partnership progress against agreed regional targets.

Prepare regular updates and summaries for leadership that highlight progress, upcoming actions, regional barriers, decisions needed, and lessons learned.

  • Ideal Candidate Profile Experience Experience as a K-12 (elementary school) educator, instructional leader, consultant, or education sector professional.

Demonstrated experience engaging with educators, school leaders, boards, ministries, or education organizations within your target region.

Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, webinars, advisory groups, or stakeholder consultations (both virtual and in-person).

Experience building professional relationships, partnerships, and collaborative workplans.

Experience supporting partnership processes, including memoranda of understanding, shared implementation plans, or formal agreements.

Knowledge Strong understanding of K-12 education systems, curriculum frameworks, and educational change processes within your designated territory.

Basic knowledge of AI literacy, digital literacy, emerging technologies, or related fields, and how to make these concepts accessible to educators.

We will continue to learn together.

Familiarity with current opportunities, priorities, and operational challenges facing educators and school systems today.

Skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Strong workshop facilitation, public speaking, and relationship-building abilities.

Strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills to navigate regional nuances.

Ability to identify partnership opportunities, connect stakeholders, and translate ideas into clear actions.

Personal Attributes Curious, proactive, and self-directed, with the ability to work independently while collaborating across a national team.

Comfortable navigating ambiguity, emerging opportunities, and shifting technology landscapes.

Diplomatic and respectful while willing to ask challenging questions and explore new approaches.

Mission-driven with a commitment to helping educators and learners thrive in an AI-enabled world.

Collaborative mindset with a strong belief in partnership, shared impact, and community engagement.

Willingness to undertake periodic regional travel for in-person workshops, partner meetings, and sector events.

If this sounds like you - we want to hear from you!
