Grow in your career and support your community in this part-time leadership role! As the Assistant Nutrition Manager, you will support the Food Service Department in achieving the nutritional goals of Residents in the home.

Complete nutritional care for all Low & Moderate Nutrition Risk Residents on an ongoing basis, which includes the revision of nutritional care plans, charting in resident’s charts, completing MDS/RAPS/charting in Point Click Care/Point of Care and updating required diet list, etc. as required in SYNERGY ON DEMAND
Interpret and individualize residents’ therapeutic diets and supplements as well as other aspects of the care plan that impacts foodservices
Order food and supplies and complete month end inventory in the Nutrition Manager’s absence
Complete and assist with the maintenance of records/reports (invoicing & purchase logs), inventory of equipment & supplies, and portion control systems
Complete audits relating to Quality as outlined by the Policies and Procedures according to S & R Nursing Homes
Assist the Nutrition Manager to ensure that all policies relating to Health and Safety are adhered to
Ensure that sanitation regulations and safe food handling procedures are followed
Assist with scheduling, call-ins, and payroll for Food Service team
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Nutrition Manager

Qualifications
To be hired into this role, you must have:
Must be an active member of the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management or a Registered Dietitian
Preferably 2 years of long term care experience
Knowledge of Fixing Long Term Care Act related to nutritional standards and requirements
Demonstrated interpersonal, leadership, and management skills
Strong computer skills required
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
- TB 2 Step updated within the last year

This position is a part-time position working 15 hours per week.
