Shutdown Supervisor, Industrial Cleaning and Vacuum Crews Northern Alberta Oil Sands | Full-Time Contract Industrial Services / Turnaround Supervision | Experienced Supervisor | Shutdown Rotation Position Type Full-Time Contract, shutdown and turnaround Location Major oil sands project, northern Alberta Start Date As soon as possible Schedule Shutdown and turnaround rotation, day shift Hours 12 to 13 hours per day.

Overtime paid after 8 hours per day or 44 hours per week Compensation $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience Experience 5+ years in high pressure water and vacuum services, 2+ years supervising crews Certification CSO, or CSTS-09 with OSSA Regional or BSO.

The Role GrizzlyTrek is seeking one Shutdown Supervisor to join our valued client's team on a major oil sands shutdown and turnaround in northern Alberta.

This is a full-time contract position starting as soon as possible, running for the duration of the shutdown.

You will lead two or more crews running high pressure tank cleaning and vacuum equipment inside a live turnaround.

The work is fast paced and schedule driven, and it demands a supervisor who can hold the safety standard, keep the crews producing, and act as the client's point of contact on the ground.

Strong candidates have run crews through full shutdown cycles and are comfortable working alongside multiple trades, permit holders, and operations personnel.

What You'll Do Supervise two or more high pressure water and vacuum crews against the turnaround schedule Lead and document Field Level Hazard Assessments and job safety analyses with every crew before work begins and whenever conditions change Conduct daily tailgate and toolbox safety meetings, and represent the crews in site safety meetings with the client Coordinate manpower, equipment, and consumables, and adjust allocation as scope and priorities shift Manage work permits, confined space entries, lockout and tagout, and isolation requirements with operations and permit issuers Monitor crews for safe work procedures, correct PPE, respiratory protection, and fit for duty Serve as the day to day point of contact for the client on progress, scope changes, delays, and equipment needs Complete and review daily reports, timesheets, job tickets, incident and near miss documentation Troubleshoot pumps, hoses, and tooling in the field, and train and develop equipment operators What You Bring Five or more years in industrial cleaning, high pressure water, and vacuum services, including two or more years leading crews Proven experience running two or more crews at once during a shutdown or turnaround Hands-on operation of high pressure pumps and tooling from 10,000 to 40,000 PSI, such as Jetstream, NLB, or Hammelmann, plus vacuum and combo units Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot pumps, hoses, and tooling in the field Working knowledge of FLHAs and job safety analyses, and the ability to lead safety meetings with confidence Confined space entry, lockout and tagout, and work permits.

Clean shaven for respirator fit testing CSO, or CSTS-09 combined with OSSA Regional or BSO H2S Alive, Standard First Aid with CPR, Confined Space Entry and Monitor, and Fall Protection Valid Class 5 licence with a clean driver abstract.
