The Role

As a result of our robust growth, we are seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join our Production team in our Charlottetown, and report to the Production Manager.

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for supporting efficient warehouse operations through the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and shipment of goods. This role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and the safe movement of materials throughout the facility. The position operates an 8-hour Monday to Friday schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Shipper/Receiver, you will be responsible for:

  • Picking and preparing customer and production orders for shipment.
  • Loading and unloading trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Verifying shipment accuracy and ensuring loads are complete and properly documented.
  • Receiving incoming goods and verifying quantities and products against invoices, packing slips, and purchase orders.
  • Ensuring materials and products are stored safely, accurately, and in designated locations.
  • Maintaining inventory accuracy through proper scanning, tracking, and documentation processes.
  • Operating material handling equipment safely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Following all quality assurance, food safety, and health and safety standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assisting with other warehouse and logistics duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong computer and technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to use scanning systems and inventory management software.
  • Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience is considered an asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
  • Willingness to complete forklift operator training if not already certified.
  • Commitment to maintaining quality, food safety, and health and safety standards.
  • Dependable work ethic with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials as required.
  • Consistently demonstrates respect for colleagues and upholds the company's mission, values, and culture.

Working Conditions:

  • Fast paced warehouse environment
  • Requires standing, bending, lifting, and operating material handling equipment
  • Work performed in accordance with standard operating procedures and company safety policies

    Shifts Available: Monday to Friday Day Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
