The challenges that await you
Under the authority of the revenue controller, you participate in the development and design of systems, procedures, and controls related to accounting operations and various types of revenues other than taxes. You prepare and/or coordinate the billing and collection of amounts due. You ensure the verification of accounting and financial operations. You perform and review account analyses for financial statements and the budget. You prepare and monitor the budget and participate in the management of available funds.
- Establishes the work schedule to be executed, assigns different priorities to employees, and ensures compliance with directives;
- Performs, coordinates, supervises, and verifies analyses as well as accounting operation allocation corrections;
- Prepares or participates in the development and presentation of financial statements, budgets, or other reports, ensures follow-up, and submits any significant discrepancies to their superior;
- Participates in the analysis of existing procedures related to accounting and operational operations. Conducts necessary research to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles;
- Participates in the development of audit procedures for division staff to ensure compliance with new procedures and writes them.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting;
- Have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in functions related to accounting and financial operations, particularly in coordinating production operations, improving and optimizing processes, preparing analyses and budgets, as well as billing;
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel;
- Knowledge of municipal taxation will be considered an asset.
