Allied Universal is seeking Security Guard - Corporate in Halifax, Nova Scotia .

Job Title : Security Guard - Corporate

Location : Halifax, Nova Scotia

Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $18.75 to $19.31 per hour

Shifts : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am- 5 : 30pm

Overview  :

We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated Security Guard - Corporate to join our team at a Technology site in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This position involves providing security and monitoring services 24 / 7, with a focus on maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and assets. The role will have various responsibilities using computers and different software. Strong computer skills is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES  :

• Site Surveillance & Patrol :  Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access.
• Visibility & Coverage :  Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
• Access Control :  Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
• Communication :  Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
• Emergency Response :  Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
• Incident Documentation :  Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
• Site & Asset Protection :  Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
• Compliance with Safety Procedures :  Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
• General Security Duties :  Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.
