Salary: $54,340 - 67,924 per year

Requirements:

• We require a certificate, degree, diploma, or other relevant education or experience related to computer science or a similar field.
• We are looking for 3-5 years of experience in data management and an administrative or operational role, ideally in a fundraising or nonprofit setting.
• We need demonstrated experience managing relational databases and donor management systems.
• We require proficiency with relational databases and Dynamics365, including the ability to build complex queries using native query tools and report builders.
• We need intermediate or stronger skills in Power BI, including dashboard development, data modelling, and automated reporting, as well as Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and analysis tools.
• We require proficiency in data visualization.
• We need knowledge of data management and compliance requirements.
• We require strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly.
• We need excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• We require strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities:

• We serve as the data lead for the Community Generosity team, optimizing data management and workflows, extracting data, and analyzing constituent information.
• We safeguard data integrity and help generate analytical insights that support evidence-based decisions across the team.
• We provide cross-functional guidance on data management and work with Information Management and Cybersecurity on analytical and technical solutions related to constituent data.
• We maintain data stewardship practices that improve operational efficiency and support fundraising and community engagement efforts.
• We map and carry out data extractions for external communications, including direct mail, digital campaigns, and event invitations, ensuring precise audience segmentation.
• We work with IMC to establish and follow data guidelines for donors, fundholders, and grantees, maintaining accuracy, consistency, privacy compliance, and CASL adherence.
• We develop automated data validation processes using business intelligence tools and database features.
• We monitor data quality through regular audits and correct discrepancies.
• We design, build, and maintain dynamic dashboards and analytical reports to support stewardship, donor engagement, and community generosity initiatives.
• We respond to management requests by conducting custom analysis and creating custom reports, in consultation with our manager.
• We collaborate with donor managers and senior leadership on donor and prospect research using external sources, data mining, and relationship mapping tools.
• We research and prepare donor and prospect briefing notes to support personalized stewardship.
• We develop and maintain data coding guidelines for communications preferences, constituent types, and relationship structures.
• We identify, design, and implement process improvements for gifts, grants, and end-to-end data workflows.
• We partner with cross-functional teams, including IMC, Finance, and Community Impact, to improve database workflows and strengthen data integrity and efficiency.
• We contribute to data-related and process improvement special projects.
• We provide training and support to staff on database and BI systems.
• We monitor best-practice trends in data management, business and artificial intelligence tools, and prospect research through trusted sources, professional development, and networking.
• We provide backup support to the Fund Stewardship Coordinator with grant recommendations and other administrative work.
• We ensure process documentation is created and updated as needed.
