Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer with 8 12 years of backend development experience. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Azure Cloud, SQL, and PostgreSQL. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting scalable enterprise applications. Spanish bilingual communication skills are required.
Required Skills
8-10+ years of experience in Java backend application development
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot
Strong expertise in Microservices architecture
Experience developing and integrating REST APIs and third-party APIs
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
Strong SQL and PostgreSQL database experience
Experience with application performance tuning and optimization
Strong troubleshooting and production support experience
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Bilingual in Spanish and English

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
Develop scalable and resilient Microservices-based applications
Design, develop, and integrate REST APIs and third-party services
Work with Azure Cloud for application deployment, monitoring, and support
Develop and optimize SQL/PostgreSQL database solutions
Perform application performance tuning and optimization
Troubleshoot application and production issues and perform root-cause analysis
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards
Collaborate with architecture, QA, DevOps, and business teams
Support CI/CD processes and DevOps practices
Participate in technical design discussions and Agile/Scrum ceremonies
Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior-level backend Java developer with strong Microservices and Spring Boot expertise, hands-on Azure Cloud experience, solid database knowledge, and proven experience supporting enterprise applications. Strong communication skills and the ability to work onsite in Toronto are required.
