Job Responsibilities

• Serves food and beverage to guests according to guests orders and/or banquet menu
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and all other offerings
• Maintains appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during event
• Replenishes food and beverage product
• Adheres to all alcohol service policies and safe drinking guidelines including checking guests’ identification
• Provides excellent customer service, anticipating guests’ needs
• Breaks down and cleans/sanitizes food service areas, workstations, and equipment
• Maintains a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server or in food service role preferred
• Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
• Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
• Working knowledge of food safety principles and procedures
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification
• Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

• Executing set-ups with the utmost care and attention, and ensuring that every job is completed in a satisfactory manner.
• Heavy lifting of large equipment such as stage, dance floor, tables, AV equipment, etc.
• Maintaining all banquet areas and storage rooms by ensuring that they are neat and tidy during and at the end of each shift.
• Conducts post event building inspections to ensure building, event spaces and equipment is in good working ordering.
• Cleaning duties of banquet storage rooms, vacuuming banquet spaces, organizing equipment.
• Manage declaration sheets. Including ensuring declaration sheets are accurate and filled filled out correctly, all hours spent setting a room has been accounted for, and billed back correctly.
• Must lock all rooms when work is completed (if room is not in use) and is responsible for security of buildings the set-up crew is working in.
• Must ensure that AV equipment that has been borrowed from the conference office must be returned at the end of the function.
• Portray a professional image by wearing assigned uniform & being well groomed.
• Maintain ability to work both quickly and efficiently as a team as well as individually.
• Always maintain courteous and professional conduct with guests, staff and management.
• Occasionally be the primary point of contact for our clients the day of an event.
• When necessary, assisting the catering team with events.
