Provide on-site service and support for computer and store technology endpoints.
Troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and related equipment.
Maintain and repair phone system hardware.
Assist with networking equipment and connectivity issues.
Assist with support of on-site servers and related infrastructure.
Identify and escalate issues that could impact production systems or business operations.
Cabling & Infrastructure
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling infrastructure.
Perform hands-on cabling work at existing facilities, remodels, and new installations.
Use powered hand tools and appropriate testing equipment.
Assist senior technicians with larger installations, remodels, and infrastructure projects.
What you must have:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of related hands-on technical experience.
Experience or exposure to low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, telecommunications, IT field service, desktop support, computer hardware, networking, or similar technical work.
Basic to intermediate understanding of computer hardware, workstations, servers, networking, and telecommunications.
Ability to read and follow technical documentation.
Comfortable using powered hand tools.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while following established procedures and escalating issues when appropriate.
Strong organization and time-management skills.
Travel Requirements
This position requires approximately 90% travel and candidates should carefully consider the travel requirement before applying.
The technician will travel to locations throughout a large multi-state territory. The position involves substantial driving and frequently requires early mornings or late evenings. Occasional weekend or holiday work may be necessary, although overnight driving or overnight work is uncommon.
Candidates must have a valid Oregon driver's license and an excellent driving record.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
This is an active, hands-on field position. Candidates must be comfortable working in a variety of environments, including retail, warehouse, construction, office, and outdoor settings. The position requires the ability to:
Frequently lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 100 lbs.
Stand for extended periods.
Bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, reach, push, pull, and work with hand and power tools.
Occasionally work from ladders, on roofs, or in confined spaces.
Spend extended periods driving between locations.
Work in environments where temperatures, noise, dust, and other conditions may vary.
Wear required personal protective equipment.
