A career as a Data Product Owner within the Trade Surveillance Data Analytics (TSDA) team at National Bank means acting as a key contributor in the design and delivery of data products that support compliance and financial market surveillance activities. In this role, you will have a direct impact on the organization through your expertise in product ownership, data analytics and data governance within a highly regulated environment.
Your role
- Define the vision, roadmap and strategic objectives of data products that support capital market compliance while aligning business priorities and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritize initiatives based on business value and risk reduction, and coordinate product delivery in an Agile environment.
- Gather business and data requirements, translate them into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional requirements, and validate delivered solutions.
- Collaborate with compliance, surveillance advisors, data engineering, architecture and analytics teams to develop monitoring models, dashboards and reporting solutions.
- Promote data governance, quality, lineage and stewardship practices while supporting the establishment and monitoring of data quality controls and performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to enhance surveillance capabilities through new data sources, automation, advanced analytics and emerging technologies.
Your team
Within the Trade Surveillance Data Analytics sector, you will be part of a team of specialists working in an agile, proactive and collaborative environment to strengthen compliance and market surveillance capabilities through data and technology.
The team is responsible for data products supporting compliance activities, trade surveillance analytics and reporting, regulatory risk management solutions, as well as data democratization and automation initiatives. You will work closely with Compliance, Capital Markets, Enterprise Data and Technology teams across the organization.

Prerequisites
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics or a related field.
- More than three years of experience working with capital markets data.
- More than two years of experience in product ownership and data analysis.
- Experience delivering data products within Agile frameworks, including Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of SQL, data warehouses, analytics platforms and business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent technologies.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata and data lineage principles, preferably within regulated environments involving capital markets, trade surveillance or regulatory compliance.

English, French
