Salary: $64,480 - 76,960 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for someone with proven IT support or desktop support experience, with at least 2 years in a technical support role as a primary responsibility.
• We need strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, VPNs, firewall configuration, and operating systems administration, repair, and maintenance.
• We expect familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft Office Suite, common software applications, and web browsers; macOS and Linux experience is an asset.
• We want someone who can support remote users through tasks without physically seeing the device, such as setting up MFA and email on a mobile phone.
• Experience with ticketing systems for tracking issues and managing resolutions is required.
• The role requires the ability to troubleshoot software issues across a range of applications and operating systems.

Responsibilities:

• We provide technical support for desktop and laptop computers, peripherals, and network devices.
• We set up and maintain computer hardware and network components, including smart and managed switches, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
• We troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows systems, with some macOS and Linux support, as well as document centres/copiers, proprietary equipment, and related software.
• We assist users with live software troubleshooting, including Microsoft Office applications and custom or industry-specific tools.
• We work within company-approved tools, applications, systems, and platforms.
• We support help desk operations by responding quickly to inquiries through phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• We maintain clear records of issues and resolutions to strengthen support processes.
• We carry out additional tasks and duties as needed.
• We travel to client offices and manage pickups and drop-offs at various locations in the CRD.
• We work on-site as the standard arrangement, with occasional evening or weekend work scheduled in advance.
• After a proven track record of at least one year, we may offer limited remote work opportunities with management approval.

We are a technology team seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist for a Level 2 intermediate role. This position supports a broad range of hardware and software across Windows, macOS, and Linux, spanning workstations and servers in both on-premise and cloud environments. The role is primarily on-site, with standard daytime hours and occasional scheduled evening or weekend work. We operate in a dynamic environment where some days are fast-paced and others provide time to catch up on projects or learn new areas. A flexible benefits package will be developed with the successful candidate after six months, and we also offer on-site parking and a wellness program. The pay range is $31.00 to $37.00 per hour, and the role is based in Victoria, BC.
