Seeking a kind, reliable and engaging part-time companion/caregiver for our 78-year-old mother, who has moderate dementia but good functional mobility. Initially 20 hours per week, with potential for more hours if it is a good match. Daytime hours, generally between 9 a.m.–3 p.m., with some flexibility. The role is primarily companionship and engagement: conversation, walks, grocery shopping, coffee shop visits and other simple outings, along with some light housekeeping and help maintaining an active daily routine. We are looking for someone who is warm, patient, dependable and comfortable with dementia. Previous elder-care experience is an asset. A driver’s licence is helpful but not essential.
