Local 543 Position Status: Regular Full-Time Job Code: 543600 Grade/Class: 0.15 Number of Positions: 1 Rate of Pay: $34.85 - $40.98 per hour Hours of Work per Week: 35.00 hours Shift Work Required: No Duties and Responsibilities: Reporting to the Supervisor, Quality Assurance & Program Support, this position will be responsible for: Interpreting results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis; Completing the gathering and cleaning processes for data from various sources including highly sensitive and confidential information, ensuring data integrity and quality; Using statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extracting meaningful insights; Developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate data findings effectively; Identifying KPIs and developing metrics to track and measure business performance; Collaborating with colleagues to optimize data collection, storage, and retrieval processes; Working collaboratively with departments to understand requirements and support identification of program objectives and related tasks; Monitoring data quality to identify data issues and propose data cleansing or enhancement solutions; Delivering evidence-based recommendations and meaningful insights to various teams to support strategic initiatives; Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting; Will perform Occupational Health & Safety duties as outlined in the Corporate Occupational Health & Safety program; Will perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Must have a four (4) year post secondary school Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Science, Computer Science or Ontario Ministry of Education equivalent; Must have over three (3) years of work experience as a Data Analyst, Data Scientist, BI Analyst or related occupation, including demonstrated experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Excel; Prior project experience with a programming language such as SQL, python and/or R for data manipulation and analysis is considered an asset; Must have experience and ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities and maintain appropriate confidentiality levels; Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; Must have experience in managing relationships with corporate and community partners; Must be a self-motivated, passionate individual capable of independent work.

Physical Demands: Given that this job is a new position a Physical Demands Analysis will be completed with the incumbent after approximately six months of occupying the position.
