As a Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the terminal and regional operations, leading employees to achieve safety, service, and productivity goals while delivering an exceptional experience for our customers and supporting the development of your team. This full-time, permanent position is based out of our Prince George depot and operating hours are Monday to Friday. Flexibility may be required to meet operational requirements.
Description
Manage and supervise warehouse and delivery operations of the Prince George and surrounding depots in Northern BC .
Manage a group of unionized employees and Owner Operators.
Create a positive work environment, building employee loyalty and a team atmosphere.
Responsible for achieving objectives as outlined in the operational scorecard.
Responsible for managing performance of employees as per operational standards and indices.
Improve operational standards through reviews of employee performance, coaching, counseling and recognition.
Responsible for communicating and implementing policy, procedure or programs.
Responsible for completing a variety of reports and documents.
Travel may be required to sub-depots or other locations, as required
All other related and assigned duties.

Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a management role
- Transportation industry experience is considered a strong asset
- Experience working in a unionized environment is considered a strong asset
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams while fostering a positive team environment
