  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the event by clearing plates, cutlery, glassware, and service areas in a timely and discreet manner.
  • Monitor food presentation, portioning, and quality, ensuring consistency with menu specifications and immediately communicating any concerns to the culinary or management team.
  • Demonstrate thorough knowledge of event menus, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens, in order to confidently answer guest questions and make informed recommendations.
  • Respond promptly, courteously, and professionally to guest needs, requests, and feedback, ensuring a positive and memorable guest experience.
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and event managers to ensure seamless service flow and a well-coordinated event.
  • Adhere to all Oliver & Bonacini health, safety, and sanitation standards, as well as Smart Serve and food handling regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times, representing the O&B brand with confidence and hospitality excellence.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Management to support the successful execution of events.

Qualifications

  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and professional experience for guests.
  • Ability to remain calm, composed, and efficient under pressure in a fast-paced event environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain a strong sense of urgency and momentum throughout the duration of an event.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and Management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative and working independently when required.
  • Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods and comfortably perform the physical requirements of the role.
  • Professional presentation and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
