Senior Data Governance & Migration Lead for an upcoming Government of Nova Scotia opportunity expected to start in October 2026 and run for at least 1 year.
Project Details:
Working as a member of a team responsible for delivering Information technology (IT), data, and records management working directly with police agencies and relevant public safety partners to audit and assess the current-state records and data environments ranging from data governance practices to data integration on existing IT systems, and to directly lead the implementation of a comprehensive data standardization, cleaning, and migration plan for both digital and paper records to prepare all agencies for data and records migration to a new URMS (Unified Records Management System) under The Department of Justice's Police Modernization Unit.
Specifically looking for someone with hands-on enterprise data migration experience, not a PM, not a cybersecurity resource, not a high-level data architect.
The ideal candidate should have experience with:
Public sector, healthcare, financial services, utilities or other regulated environments would all be relevant.
There may be some onsite work and travel within Nova Scotia. Preference would be for a local candidate, but out of province can also work.
