Accounting Technician – Project Billing | Construction Do you know project billing and want to leverage your experience in a long-term assignment? This opportunity may particularly interest you. We are looking for an accounting technician to cover a maternity leave for more than a year, including a complete training period before the departure of the person currently in the position. The organization is open to both those wishing to work five days a week (40 hours) and those who prefer a schedule spread over four days. Why consider this opportunity? A mandate of more than a year offering great stability; A training and knowledge transfer period planned upon arrival; The possibility of working four or five days a week; A hybrid work mode allowing up to two days of remote work per week, once integration and autonomy are achieved; A concrete role within an established accounting team. Your role Your main responsibility will be to support the team in the billing of construction projects and the processing of supplier invoices. The workload is heavier during the first half of the month, as the team must quickly process project-related expenses to prepare client billing. The pace then becomes more regular for the rest of the month. Your main responsibilities Prepare billing associated with various projects; Enter and review purchase invoices; Allocate expenses to the correct projects; Verify the accuracy of information before billing; Follow up on missing or pending invoices; Participate in month-end activities; Collaborate closely with other members of the accounting team; Occasionally prepare simple tracking tables in Excel. The desired profile Essential requirements: Relevant experience in operational accounting; Experience in project billing; Good ability to process a large volume of invoices accurately; Rigor, autonomy, and organizational skills; Ease in collaborating and requesting necessary validations; Functional knowledge of Excel. Important assets: Experience in project billing in the construction sector; Knowledge of accounting specifics related to construction projects; Experience with Vision software, considered a significant asset. Working conditions Maternity leave replacement for more than a year, including the training period; Desired start date in the fall; Choice between a 40-hour schedule spread over five days or a four-day schedule; Possibility of remote work up to two days a week after the integration period; Increased presence in the office expected during training.
