About the Role:
The Driver Helper FT Hourly position is integral to supporting delivery operations by assisting drivers in the efficient and safe transportation of goods across various locations in Canada. This role focuses on ensuring timely loading and unloading of products, maintaining clear communication with drivers and customers, and providing excellent customer service throughout the delivery process. The Driver Helper will work closely with the driver to navigate routes, handle packages carefully, and resolve any issues that arise during deliveries. This position demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving to contribute to the overall success of the delivery team. Ultimately, the Driver Helper plays a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency by supporting seamless delivery experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid Canadian driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy products safely and repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Basic proficiency in English or French to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labor, including walking, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Availability to work full-time hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a delivery, warehouse, or logistics support role.
- Familiarity with local routes and geography within the assigned delivery area in Canada.
- Customer service experience demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of mobile devices or handheld scanners used for delivery tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the driver with loading and unloading goods safely and efficiently at various delivery locations.
