Job Posting: Weekly Household Helper (Meal Prep Housekeeping) Location: Burke Mountain, Coquitlam, BC Schedule: Weekly, ideally Tuesdays, 8:30am–4:30pm (8 hours) — open to discussing a different weekday if needed Pay: $25–28/hour, depending on experience Type: Part-time, recurring, live-out About the Role We're a family in the Burke Mountain area of Coquitlam looking for a reliable, detail-oriented helper to join our household once a week. The role combines meal preparation and light housekeeping, and is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking from provided recipes/instructions and takes pride in keeping a home clean and tidy. Our toddler will be in daycare most of the day, and our dog will also be in daycare on the day you're here — so you'll largely have the space to yourself to focus on the tasks at hand. Responsibilities Meal Preparation (ingredients provided/pre-purchased — no grocery shopping required) - Prepare meals for the week based on our instructions/recipes - Weekdays: breakfast and dinner - Weekends: 2 breakfasts, 1 lunch, 1 dinner - Comfortable following specific recipes and dietary instructions - Proper food storage and labeling for the week ahead Housekeeping - Vacuuming - Cleaning kitchen counters and surfaces - Cleaning washrooms - Other light tidying as needed What We're Looking For - Experience with home cooking and meal prep - Experience with general housekeeping/cleaning - Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented - Comfortable working independently once instructions are given - Comfortable in a home with a young child (though overlap will be minimal) and a dog (also typically out of the house during visits) - References required Details - Weekly commitment, ideally Tuesdays, 8:30am–4:30pm (day is open to discussion) - $25–28/hour based on experience - All ingredients and cleaning supplies provided - **Paid trial visit** offered before committing to an ongoing arrangement, so we can make sure it's a good fit for both sides If this sounds like a good fit, please reach out with your experience and availability!
