About Us

Ideal Siding is the fastest-growing siding renovation company in North America, with multiple divisions across Canada and the U.S. We’re redefining the home exterior renovation industry through innovation, exceptional service, and a people-first culture. Our team is driven, professional, and passionate about helping homeowners improve their homes while building long-term trust in our brand.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Senior HR Manager to lead our HR function and support a growing head office team of approximately 40 employees.

This is a part-time role requiring 20 hrs per week, including 2 days in the Burnaby office. The schedule will provide a balance of in-person collaboration with leadership, managers, and employees, along with flexibility to complete HR work independently.

Reporting directly to the VP of Finance & Administration, this is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic HR guidance with day-to-day execution. The Senior HR Manager will advise leadership, support managers and employees, oversee core HR programs, and ensure our people practices remain compliant, practical, and aligned with the company’s growth.

This position is offered as a 2-year fixed-term contract to provide maternity leave coverage. As our organization continues to grow, there is strong potential for this role to become a permanent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HR advisor to the leadership team and department managers.
  • Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, internal changes, leaves, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Manage employee relations matters, workplace concerns, accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
  • Coach managers on performance expectations, feedback, documentation, and employee development.
  • Maintain HR policies, procedures, employment agreements, and employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with BC employment legislation and workplace requirements.
  • Coordinate benefits, payroll changes, leave administration, and HR systems.
  • Support workforce planning, compensation reviews, employee engagement, training, and retention initiatives.
  • Develop practical and scalable HR processes that support continued company growth.
  • Maintain regular in-office availability two days per week to support collaboration, employee needs, and leadership priorities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 7-10 years of progressive generalist HR experience, including experience in a senior or leadership-level HR role.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a broad HR function and advise senior leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of BC employment standards, human rights requirements, and HR best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with employee relations, performance management, investigations, recruitment, and the full employee lifecycle.
  • Strong judgment, discretion, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing priorities effectively within a 20-hour-per-week schedule.
  • Comfortable working in a part-time capacity with two days per week in the office.
  • Degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPHR designation and experience in a growing small to mid-sized organization are considered assets.
  • Must reside in Metro Vancouver and be able to work from office 2 days per week.

If you are an experienced HR professional who brings sound judgment, practical expertise, and a people-focused approach, we encourage you to apply and join Ideal Siding during this exciting period of growth!

Flexible work from home options available.

We expect every member of our community to do their part to cultivate and maintain an environment where everyone has the opportunity to feel included, and is afforded the respect and dignity they deserve.
