What is the opportunity?
Join RBC as a Learning and Development Specialist and play a pivotal role in cultivating the next generation of talent! In this dynamic role, you will deliver and innovate training programs that empower new RBC Dominion Securities (RBC DS) assistants and associates to excel in their roles. Through immersive, multi-format learning experiences, you will drive efficiency, elevate client service, and foster long-term success—all while championing a culture of continuous growth and collaboration.
What will you do?
- Lead and Innovate Training Programs: Own and deliver the Montreal Admin/Associate Fundamentals program (approximately 8 sessions annually), adapting to hiring needs and business priorities.
- Collaborate for Impact: Partner with peers to develop shared curricula and training materials, ensuring consistency and best practices across regions.
- Measure and Improve: Track program effectiveness through feedback and data, driving continuous enhancements for maximum impact.
- Engage and Inspire: Deliver dynamic in-person and virtual training on core processes, operational best practices, and business context.
- Coach for Success: Provide post-program coaching and behavioral assessments to reinforce learning and drive performance.
- Stay Ahead of the Curve: Update training materials to reflect evolving industry trends, policies, and organizational changes.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with Branch Managers, Operations teams, and Head Office to align training goals and share expertise.
- Manage Logistics Seamlessly: Coordinate training logistics (invitations, venues, materials) with precision and professionalism.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- 2+ years of experience working on an advisory team, with solid knowledge of wealth management products, operations, and client needs.
- Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence in facilitating group training sessions.
- Collaborative mindset: A proven ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and act as a subject matter expert.
- Client-centric approach: A relentless focus on delivering excellence in service and support.
Nice-to-have
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and a curiosity-driven approach to innovation.
- Passion for sharing knowledge and driving continuous improvement.
- Previous training/coaching experience.
- CSC and CPH or CIRE, an asset.
