Job Location: Vermilion, AB

Work Hours: 40 hrs/wk

Shift Hours: 7:00AM – 3:00PM M-F

Rate of Pay: $15.00-32.00/hr depending on experience

Position Summary

Are you passionate about food and enjoy creating meals that make a difference? We are looking for a Cook to join our team and help deliver high-quality, nutritious meals in a safe and welcoming environment. In this role, you will prepare and cook food according to established recipes and production guidelines while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and customer service.

Working with fresh ingredients and professional kitchen equipment, you'll have the opportunity to apply your culinary skills, contribute to menu execution, and support a positive dining experience for those we serve.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook food according to standardized recipes and production schedules.

· Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.

· Follow all food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures.

· Safely operate kitchen equipment and tools.

· Ensure workstations and kitchen areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards.

· Support daily kitchen operations and assist team members as needed.

Requirements

· Experience as a Cook or in a related food service role.

· Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage practices.

· Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification.

· Basic math and counting skills.

· Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

· Ability to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Background Screening Requirements

· Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check in accordance with applicable local and national legislation.
