As a production line person you are responsible for placing ingredients on bread, in trays, applying labels and ensuring that all products are processed in an efficient manner. Working on the production line requires good dexterity and the ability to assemble small items at a fast pace while maintaining accurate ingredient weights on all products. Working on an assembly line requires that you be comfortable working with others, coordinating with them, and following instructions. This position does require some lifting and you must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Accuracy and maintaining a steady pace are integral to this position.

• Upholding and following company procedures, standards and policies in all situations
• Handling production equipment safely and efficiently
• Building product accurately and quickly
• Working as part of a coordinated team
• Understanding and following all safety standards, including safety training, WHMIS, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

What you have to offer:

• Previous food production experience is an asset but not required

Physical Requirements (Seldom: Not Daily, Rare: 0-5% of shift, Occasional: 6-33% of shift, Frequent: 34-66% of shift, Constant: 66-100% of shift)

• Constant lifting and carrying of less than 10 pounds
• Constant standing
• Constant reaching below shoulder level
• Constant gripping and use of production materials
• Occasional bending and twisting
• Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 40 pounds including waist level and low level lifts
• Ability to handle a cool working environment of 1 to 4 degrees Celsius

  *Candidate must be able to handle live fish, Training will be provided.*

  Ability to communicate Mandarin or Cantonese is highly valued in this role but not required.

The salary range for this position is 18.25 - $21.00. We will consider factors such as your working location, work experience and skills as well as internal equity, and market conditions to ensure that you are paid fairly and competitively.
