Amazon Robotics is seeking a motivated Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the Robotic Storage Technology team, driving complex cross-functional programs that improve the efficiency and performance of Amazon's fulfillment network. If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love untangling hard problems across engineering and operations, and want to see your work go live at Amazon scale, this role is for you.
Are you inspired by invention? Is problem solving through teamwork in your DNA? We are a smart team of doers that work passionately to apply advances in robotics and software to solve real-world challenges that will transform our customers' experiences. We invent new improvements every day and will give you the tools and support you need to invent with us in ways that are rewarding, fulfilling and fun.
The ideal candidate brings exemplary program and project management skills, critical thinking, and a passion for creating reliable and maintainable systems. The candidate should be open to new challenges, strong at multi-tasking, innovative, creative, self-directed and a great team player, who drives continuous process improvement and collaborates effectively across cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
Key job responsibilities
•Manage the full project lifecycle of cross-functional programs aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of Amazon's robotics fleet
• Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Solutions Design, Systems Engineering, Operations, Customer Support, and the Program Office to define requirements and drive execution
• Drive cross-functional consensus on technical decisions and ensure high-quality program outcomes
• Identify, assess, track, and mitigate issues and risks across multiple concurrent workstreams
• Create, maintain, and disseminate program status, milestones, and risk posture to stakeholders at all levels
• Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with partner teams across engineering and operations
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and adoption of program management best practices within the team
A day in the life
Your day might start with a cross-functional standup, shift to a design review with an engineering partner team, then wrap with a risk discussion with ops leadership. You'll collaborate across engineering, solutions, and support teams to keep programs on track and make sure decisions don't get stuck. The pace is fast, but so is the impact: work you help drive goes live across the network in weeks and months, at Amazon scale.
