About the Role
We are seeking three experienced Commodity Leaders to take end-to-end commercial ownership of assigned commodities, supplier portfolios, and spend categories. In this strategic position, you will develop multi-year sourcing strategies to drive cost competitiveness, supplier performance, supply continuity, and operational resilience.
Serving as the key commercial interface between internal business teams and external suppliers, you will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, Finance, and Program leads while mentoring Buyers and Lead Buyers to execute top-tier sourcing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Commodity & Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute multi-year commodity strategies, preferred supplier roadmaps, spend consolidation, and make-vs-buy or regional sourcing assessments.
Commercial & Contract Leadership: Own long-term agreements (LTAs), pricing agreements, and contract renewals. Lead complex RFQs/RFPs and commercial negotiations covering pricing, lead times, capacity, payment terms, and risk protections.
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management: Drive supplier segmentation, rationalization, qualification, and strategic business reviews. Manage underperforming suppliers with concrete performance improvement plans.
Risk & Supply Continuity: Own supplier risk visibility, mitigation roadmaps, dual-sourcing strategies, and commercial recovery actions during major supply disruptions.
Cross-Functional Governance & Leadership: Align cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Legal, Finance) around sourcing priorities, while coaching and mentoring junior procurement staff.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bilingualism: Fully fluent in both French and English (written and spoken).
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline. Professional certification (CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, CPIM) is strongly preferred.
Experience: 7 10+ years of proven experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, procurement, or supply chain leadership.
