Marketing / Business Support Professional
Location: Vancouver, BC
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Remote Possibility within BC)
MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Marketing / Business Support Professional to support one of British Columbia’s largest utility providers. This role will support business-facing initiatives focused on B2B customers, marketing campaigns, stakeholder engagement, business analysis, and project coordination.
The successful candidate will bring a combination of strategic business analysis, marketing and customer engagement experience, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and work effectively with commercial, industrial, and large enterprise customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic business analysis and provide insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
- Support B2B marketing campaigns, customer initiatives, and business-facing programs.
- Conduct customer, market, and business analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and insights.
- Support initiatives involving commercial, industrial, and large enterprise customers.
- Coordinate multiple projects, initiatives, deliverables, and competing priorities.
- Support business products, account management activities, and business development initiatives.
- Plan and coordinate B2B events, stakeholder meetings, customer engagement activities, and business initiatives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, business partners, and customers.
- Collaborate across multiple teams to support business priorities and program execution.
- Track project activities, deliverables, timelines, and business outcomes.
- Prepare reports, presentations, business insights, and supporting documentation.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and help move initiatives from planning through completion.
- Support stakeholder engagement and communication activities across a complex business environment.
Qualifications
- Approximately 8+ years of strategic business analysis or related professional experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Project Management, Communications, or a related discipline.
- Experience working in a B2B environment, preferably supporting commercial, industrial, or large enterprise customers.
- Demonstrated project management experience with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
- Experience supporting marketing campaigns, business initiatives, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Experience conducting customer, market, and business analysis.
- Strong understanding of business customer needs and operational priorities.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and business acumen.
- Experience planning and supporting B2B events and customer engagement activities.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-directed approach to identifying opportunities, solving problems, exercising sound judgment, and driving work through completion.
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and track deliverables.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and CRM/customer management tools.
- Ability to prepare professional reports, presentations, and business insights.
Nice to Have
- Experience preparing reports, briefings, summaries, and presentations for different audiences.
- Knowledge or experience within the energy, utility, sustainability, energy management, or another regulated industry.
- Project management experience or formal project management training.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and customer databases.
