The successful candidate will be the principal legal advisor, providing strategic legal advice on a range of issues, including the development and implementation of business strategy, commercial relationships, regulatory requirements, human resources, governance, and privacy law matters. This role also involves overseeing corporate secretarial functions, maintaining awareness of emerging technology issues, and managing disputes, litigation, and intellectual property matters. The ideal candidate will be an experienced lawyer with a strong background in corporate and commercial law, capable of translating legal matters into practical advice, and comfortable working in an evolving organization. Applicants for the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary position at the company should have a minimum of ten years' legal experience, with a preference for those who have acted as a corporate secretary with a public company and have familiarity with employment and privacy law.
