MIG/TIG Welder

A custom fabrication facility in St. Jacobs, located north of Kitchener, has an excellent full-time junior-level Aluminum TIG Welder opportunity. With an hourly pay rate ranging from $28 to $30, this is your opportunity to gain valuable experience and secure a consistent 44 hours of work per week. You will play a pivotal role in the TIG welding and assembly of aluminum fuel tanks and related components for tractors. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality TIG welding exclusively on aluminum, focusing on 1/8 inch thickness for fuel tank construction.
- Operate essential fabrication equipment, including rolls and shears, to accurately prepare material for the assembly process.
- Precisely cut tank components to specifications and ensure accurate fitting prior to welding.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards while executing your duties as an Aluminum TIG Welder.
- Utilize and accurately read both imperial and metric tape measures, including performing necessary conversions for precise assembly.

Qualifications
- A minimum of one year of demonstrated TIG welding experience on aluminum is required; candidates with 3-5 years of experience are highly preferred.
- Post-secondary education in a welding or metal fabrication program is considered a significant asset.
- Proven capability to proficiently operate essential fabrication equipment, specifically rolls and shears, for preparing materials.
- Solid understanding of welding math and calculations to ensure precision in material preparation and assembly dimensions.
- Competency in accurately reading and interpreting engineering drawings to execute repetitious product builds.
- Demonstrated dependability, strong teamwork skills, and coachability to integrate seamlessly into a growing team in St. Jacobs, North of Kitchener.
